Local Woman's Body Found in Lake Puskus

by Karen Irving, Contributing Reporter

Today police located the body of missing local, Donna Swinney in Lake Puskus, Northeast of Oxford. Swinney had been missing since May of this year, and had been believed to have left the state until recently when investigation into another murder turned up evidence to link Swinney as a victim to the crime scene.

Though police are releasing very little information, it is believed that police were led to the Lake by Swinney's husband, Cal, after he admitted and confessed to having murdered her and German National, Achim Michaelis of Duisburg, Germany.

The details of the confession are as yet, unknown but according to highly placed sources, Swinney killed his wife in a fit of jealous rage and that Achim was simply a "wrong place, wrong time" unwitting victim.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Baptist Church, next week after the body is released. Anyone caring to make a donation to the surviving family members can contact Pastor Rufus Arlington.
