Case Description: Achim Michaelis Homicide

Similar search warrants were obtained and executed for Tate Moore, Scott Prein, Cal Swinney, and Tobias Whitman. In addition, witnesses Wenzel Hitzig and Arlene Melton have returned to their homes in Atlanta, Georgia so Detectives Armstrong and Murphy liaised with the Atlanta Police Department, who executed similar warrants at the Hitzig and Melton residences.

To Detective Sam Murphy and any Authorized Officer of Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippi.

Affidavit(s) having been made before me by Detective Sam Murphy

who has reason to believe that on the premises known as

119 Chestnut Street, Oxford, MS which is a free-standing, one-story home with attached carport, shown by public record as leased to and occupied by Lorie Jones; a 1998 white Ford Escort automobile (VIN XXXXXXXXXXXXX) registered to Lorie Jones;

in Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippi, there is now concealed a person or property, namely

Men's work boot, size 9½; men's work boot, size 10; men's work boot, size 10½; men's athletic shoe, size 10½; men's dress shoe, size 11; women's work boot, size 7½; women's casual shoe, size 8;

and as I am satisfied that there is probable cause to believe that the person or property so described is now concealed on the person or premises above described and that grounds for application for issuance of the search warrant exist as stated in the supporting affidavit(s).

YOU ARE HEREBY COMMANDED to search on or before June 28, 2001 (not to exceed 10 days) the person or property specified, serving this warrant and making the search in the daytime (6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.). If the person or property be found there seize same, leaving a copy of this warrant and receipt for the person or property taken and prepare a written inventory of the person or property seized and promptly return this warrant to US Judge or Magistrate,
