The Oxford Eagle ran the following community news item one week before the murders. It has little relevance to the case.

Holder News.

A large crowd of relatives and friends assembled at the home of Mr. Matt Quick last Wednesday evening to witness the solemnization of the marriage vows between Miss Lillie Quick and Mr. W. M. Alderson. The bride was beautifully dressed and carried a lovely bouquet of white Chrysanthemums. The groom was looking very handsome and happy indeed. The beautiful and impressive ceremony was performed by Rev. T. H. Winter, after which the happy couple left immediately for their home.

Misses Mate Woodward and Sallie Anderson spent Sunday at the home Mr. W. H. Gilbert.

T. L. Bushing and wife spent Sunday with the family of G. W. Anderson.

Miss Francis McClelland spent the past week with her, Mrs. John Rushing.

Whit Owen and family, of East of Oxford, visited the family of Ike Bullard last week. Mr. Bullard and family will soon leave for Texas to make that State their future home.

Mis Ila Hendron left Sunday for her school at Liberty Hill.

Crawford Anderson of the A. N. S. spent Sunday with homefolks.

Mrs. Dr. Johnson spent last Wednesday with Mrs. Louisa Anderson.

Frank Alford and family are visited G. W. Alford. FRED.
