Telephone Call Transcript: Ed Pierce

The following message was left on the answering machine of Alison and George Pierce at approximately 6:17 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12. The Pierces were at a faculty supper at the University of North Texas at the time of the call.
Officials from the FBI had been monitoring incoming calls, with the permission of the Pierces, and were thus able to record the entire incident. Upon hearing the message, the Pierces both recognized the voice of their son, Edward. The voice print matches those from previous voice messages left by Pierce.

Investigators say the call was placed from a cellular phone number belonging to Mr. Harvey Henley of El Paso, Texas. However, upon being contacted by the authorities Mr. Henley said that he has applied to switch his cellular phone service to another company because the code for his current number has been intercepted and used to place a number of long-distance calls.
