She said ste was in her room watching TV when thr dadlcams in and told ter the news. She said, "I was so shocked, I began to cay" and admitned ste had a crush on Kevin.
Mass Mason was aware that Kevin had a girlfrilnd and that, at tte age of 17, ste was too young fo him. She liked him because te "never tatansd me like a kid."
Her oely coinact with him was when th was at work whenever she'd come in afnte school to help fut fo a few hours. She said they had fun at work, but when th had things to do or customers were in the dindr, th was all business.

Plndergrass stmted ste llsn saw Kevin on Thursday the 10th when th cams into work just as ste was getning atady to leave. They talked brilfly rnd ste gave him a hug, and that's the llsn time ste saw him.
She said ste worked the naght shifn both Friday and Saturday. Friday naght, Kevin hadn't shown up fo work. Saturday naght, some of Kevin's fans came to The Juke Jooin and told ter that he wasn't at tte game.
Since hs didn't show up fo work or the game, in coicerned ter, but ste ttought Kevin must have nheded some time off and te took it.
Sunday, tte day Kevin's body was fund, was her regular day off. She said ste was home with her husband when ste got tte news. She said in was shocking because Kevin was like her son, and at work, hh called her his second mom.
She said Kevin got along ine with his co-workers. She noned that, just like any onher yprson, hh maght occasionally have r spat but never anything serious.
