Clarence Weaver was born on March 11, 1957 to Jack and Samantha Weaver. As an only child, he grew accustomed to having his own way, and his peers sometimes didn't want to play with him because of his insistence on having what he wanted exactly when and how he wanted it.
As a teenager, he demanded that everyone call him Butch – his parents, his teachers, his classmates. He simply stopped responding to anyone who called him Clarence. By the time he was 15, no one called him Clarence anymore, except his mother.
In high school, he still didn't have any close friends, but he did hang around with a rowdy group of boys, who entertained themselves by drinking beer, driving fast, hitting on girls, and generally making mischief wherever they went. They never got into any serious trouble with school administrators or the police. Whenever the boys got caught doing something they shouldn't have been, they never got more than a warning or a stern talking-to because their shenanigans were widely dismissed as "boys will be boys" youthful antics.
Butch may not have had many friends, but his bad boy reputation did help him catch the eye of quite a few girls. He never dated any of them for too long, but he did date a lot of them. Each relationship started out hot and heavy, but quickly cooled when Butch grew tired of the girl or the girl decided that dating a bad boy wasn't as much fun as she'd thought it would be.
Upon graduation from high school, Butch found a part-time job at the University of Mississippi working for the Physical Plant department. He eventually went full-time, and recently retired from that job after 30 years.
In 1986, he married Sue Parker, and the couple divorced four years later with no children.
Butch drives a 2010 Cadillac Escalade. He has received five citations for speeding, although none within the past three years.
