Re: Alfa Insurance Company
Claim No.: 3266789-MS
Decedent: Andrew R. Fine
Policy No.: 36-69979-BME3
Our File: 7024

Dear Det. Armstrong:

As per our conversation yesterday, I have been instructed by the Alfa Insurance Company to investigate the case of Andrew R. Fine of 596 Hathorn Road, Oxford MS 38655. On February 1, 2000 Andrew R. Fine purchased two life insurance policies from my client, Alfa Insurance: one on himself and one on his wife, Cynthia Campbell Fine. Both policies are a standard Interest Sensitive Whole Life, Permanent Life plans, valued at $10,000.00 each, payable upon death of the insured. The premium payments were made by monthly automatic debits to Bank of Mississippi Personal Checking account number: XXXXXXXXXX, account name: Andrew R. Fine and Cynthia C. Fine. Both policies became effective at 12:00 a.m. on February 2, 2000.

The policies will pay on all types of death, except suicide. For accidental death or permanent injury related to employment, the policy will pay twice the face amount. Alfa Insurance will not release any payment on Andrew R. Fine's life insurance policy until the investigation of Andrew Fine's death has been terminated.

The beneficiary of the policy is the policy holder's wife, Cynthia Campbell Fine of 596 Hathorn Road, Oxford, MS 38655. Mrs. Fine filed a claim against the policy on August 12, 2003. No payment will be made on the claim until the investigation into Andrew Fine's death is closed. Upon conclusion of the investigation, if all conditions of the policy are met, a cashier's check in the amount of $10,000.00 will be issued to Cynthia Campbell Fine.

Please keep me informed of any developments in the investigation so that I may, in turn, keep my client properly informed.

Sincerely,

Bruce C. Andersen
