Body photos

I'm Tom Arriola, the site Mastermind, and I've been asked to tell you about what went into the making of these photos. This week, we'll be posting photos daily with behind-the-scenes commentary.

We used two different types of blood. The first was a homemade solution used to saturate the carpet and clothing. It is a mix of peanut butter, chocolate syrup, Karo syrup and red food coloring. We mixed up two gallons and used it all, although leftovers go well over ice cream. The second type of blood we used was a commercial product called stage scab. It is has a brown tint and is especially thick. We used this to paint the inside of the latex wounds that were glued to the victim.

See more pictures of the body from the crime scene. Note: Some photos are graphic.
