Ok, I've been doing a lot of searching through the evidence and I realized that I missed something in the coroner's report that I didn't notice earlier.
Of the five injuries, we can discount the wound to the head since we know it was not fatal. But one interesting point is that every injury, including the one to the head, is on the right side of the body except one (wound #3). Wound #2 and wound #4 (both on the right)showed the weapon made a pointed or tapered puncture that is consistent with a knife wound. Wound #5 (right forearm) was a diagonal slash with no square or dull edges, also consistent with a knife. Wound #3 (The only one on the left)was reported to be round or tapered. To me this is not consistent with a knife wound like the others. It makes me think of something like an ice pick since it is round and tapered. I'm not saying it can't be a knife wound but it is so different from the others that I have to consider that it is not a knife wound. It is also not a fatal wound.
I am still leaning toward Yvonne and Sonya but I've thinking about Alison. She has never seemed to be upset about Jared's death. She says she doesn't remember who told her about Kelly but I'll bet Yvonne did and she didn't want to tell them it was her. It could have been at the dinner party at the Waltz two days before his death. Kelly had to have been pointed out to her because Kelly said she was coming from the stairwell and Alison was coming out of the elevator. Kelly said Alison would have attacked her if the manager hadn't come out. Jared was already dead if you believe that Kelly didn't get there until afterward. Why would Alison attack her then?
She met Sonya for coffee when she first got there. Said she didn't know who she was at first but the waiter verified that they were both at the dinner party 2 days before the murder. She also said they had a lot in common. Was murder one of them? It is very possible that Alison played Sonya like a fiddle to get her to do her own dirty work. The same goes for her and Yvonne. She sure wasn't upset to find out Yvonne had an affair with her husband. Said she didn't blame her and felt sorry for her? Really? But she didn't leave him even though he had many little affairs. Why not? Is it because she pulled the apron strings? Was she afraid the he would leave her with all the money and fame he expected to get with the publishing of the letters and with a younger woman, no less? She was also up very early. We only have her word that she didn't leave the room. She took her time having coffee and taking a shower before she even went into his room. Plenty of time for her to have gotten up when she heard Jared getting up, she picked something up in the room and hit him in the back of the head, making him disoriented enough for someone to come up behind him and stab him. She wouldn't be guilty of anything. Poor Alison.
Taylor was in the lobby and heard Rose singing. Said he would never get that song out of his head. It is possible he was dressed as Elvis and went looking for Jared. He found Jared's body in the hallway and checked to see if he was dead. He had blood on his hand, wiped it on his costume without thinking and ran away. He stopped long enough to take the suit off but left the wig on. Less likely to be recognized that way. Stopped in he bathroom and dumped the suit. Returned to the room. Yvonne found Jared with the knife in his back and panicked because she thought Taylor hand killed Jared and then hid the knife. In her last interview, she said she would never testify against her husband.
Any one of these scenes rank as plausible with you guys?
