Ernest Parrish is the only witness we have this far, but somehow I don't think he killed Monica. It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong though, if he is the perp.

I've been thinking a little more about Ernie. Monica's office was a real mess, and Ernie told the detectives that it always looked that way. What if he just said that to cover up a struggle with Monica? Would her office really look like that all the time?

According to Craig, her office was often a mess and he had had to talk to her frequently about it. He did say that he had it professionally cleaned recently, but that it was back to being a mess (18 soda cans and 2 coffee mugs).

Yes, I saw that. I guess she didn't see any need to pick up anything. Surely someone else was drinking some of those cans of soda, but I'd think if she was a coffee drinker there would be more coffee mugs than two. I think it would be helpful if we can find out what kind of soda Monica drank and if she drank coffee. Then we need to check and see what everyone else drank that worked at the paper.

If Monica's office was messy all the time, her house must really be awful, unless she has someone come in and clean for her.
