I am totally confused about Melvin Roberts. Why would someone who wasn't even a suspect confess to murder? You might be right, EasTexasTic, he might be unstable.
The rape case has me confused, too. Roberts said he clocked in at work, but I think anyone could do that for him, or he could've clocked in and left later and went back to work after the rape. The thing is that people were claiming to have seen him at work that night. There is the possibility that the girl was raped by someone close to her and she didn't want to turn that person in, but knew she had to choose someone because of all of her injuries. It would be simple to pick Roberts from a line-up or from his voice since she babysits for him.
Darn, I'm trying to solve two cases instead of one now. lol
I do think there was a lot of animosity between Roberts and Monica Drum, because of the "Acquitted" headline. Why was it taped to her office desk underneath a blotter? We need to find out what the meaning of that is.
