I have been thinking about this case a LOT. I can find reasons why it could have been almost any of the players so far.

I have been wondering about Elliott and the computer.
What if whoever the 'mole' was wasn't using a computer? Maybe it was all word of mouth?

I guess it could be either way. Interesting to think about though.

I'm just checking in to see if CSI analysis has come in yet. Not yet. Isn't waiting the hardest part?

I poured over everything again. I've long expected that Annette's keys are missing because they have her house key on them. It's very likely the murderer needed those keys to get into her house to get that SD card. So any fingerprints on that clock are going to (hopefully) nail our murderer.

The money found on Annette fits with a person who doesn't use credit cards or write checks. The worker at the convenience stated she always paid with "exact change". I hypothesize that Annette divided her money to stick to a budget. $220 for groceries, maybe, and the $80 in her cigarette box was a reminder to buy a new carton. Cash and carry is a method to quell tendencies to overspend. Notice there wasn't a check-book mentioned in her belongings. I think she was keeping a tight grip on her spending. There is one thing that bothers me. For someone who paid in exact change, she didn't have any loose change on her at all. You get twenties out of an ATM but not one hundred notes. Did she visit the bank Saturday? We really don't have a record of anyone seeing her alive on Saturday after she left her house that morning. Jeff is the only one who has seen her, and that was at 6:30 or 7 in the evening. Did she really go all afternoon without breaking any bills? What about lunch? Didn't she get something to eat? Had she been killed before her afternoon break?

Also, Jeff was at a store nearby that closed promptly at 7:00, and the owner estimates he was there near closing (6:30 approx). Jeff failed to mention that in his interview. He must have seen Annette as he was leaving Gin's, if he is telling the truth. Remember, Annette has been gone all day according to her neighbors. Where WAS she if not at the office? Seriously, no one interviewed has seen her all day Saturday after her car is gone from her drive. Jeff was certainly back at his home by 7pm. If he had killed her took her keys, then went to the Holistic Store for his alibi, it's a tight squeeze to run to Annette's house to get the card and get home by 7. Amazing he wasn't seen doing it. Real risky. There is the question, why would he know about the hidden camera in her house?

I really think the keys are key to this case. If they aren't in her ignition, they are with the murderer. Murderer kills her, takes keys, goes to her house, takes SD card. We need to find someone who knows where the nail gun is kept, and knows about the hidden camera, and has motive for what is on that SD card.

Does the estimated time of death fit before 7:00 pm Saturday? She could have been killed as early as 2:30 pm according to the estimated TOD.

Lets see what the lab kicks back at us. I'm betting the official coroner's report and fingerprint analysis will tell all.

Then again... there might never have been an SD card.

That's one of my big questions, too: Where was she all day? And why did she need all that cash?

I like your idea about cash and carry, but with Jeff's recent follow up interview, he says that she didn't currently smoke. Which leads me to wonder, again, if the money was meant for a bribe/kickback from someone (or to someone). If she was the mole, then perhaps the money was given to her as incentive. After all, in Jeff's initial interview, he did say that she needed money lately.

Or, conversely, it could be that she needed money because someone else was extorting her for some reason. Which I suppose is a reason both for her being the mole (to get kickbacks) and also to pass along money to someone else (cigarette box) who was shaking her down for cash. Maybe someone found out about her being the mole and wanted in on the deal.

Bleh.

Then there is the whole situation with one of the Grubmans sneaking off late at night with the headlights off. That seems awfully suspicious.

And, Meg's telling her boyfriend that she needed to get some work done, and then claiming to have gone home, moonbathed, and drank wine instead.

Ok, I'm done conjecturing. We need more information! :)

Extortion is very possible. It kind of fits with a hidden camera.

If she wasn't currently smoking, those might have been her emergency back-ups. That explains also not having a lighter. If she really wanted one, she would have to chase down someone who has a light, by then the craving would pass.

The amount of cash she had on her wasn't really the amount you would expect for bribing. Perhaps she had more and was robbed as well, but the killer didn't take all of it to remove any suspicion that money is involved. -money found on victim = wasn't a robbery
Leaving any money behind would mean a very clever criminal. Could we be so (un)fortunate?

It could still just be someone who one day up and decided the 'Jezebel' had to be dealt with. Enough women felt threatened by her very presence, all claws out and all!

Still, some significant information died with her. The timing is just too good.

Oh they found more money in her desk (Jeff's follow up interview). I'm having a hard time finding all of the files on this one. I can't find the neighbors interview that mentions the white car seen at Wyatt's house. I'd like to re-read that.
