Apparantly those threatening messages started to come while Veronica was still in Hospital. That must have been around 2006, before she moved to Oxford and opened her own practice? I think we need to find out exactly when those messages started coming in and if they were still being sent to her after 2006. Is it just coincidence that she died shortly after her wedding anniversary and that she got threatening letters in the hospitl where she met Michael O' Connor? The contents of the messages could fit this situation as well, in my opinion.

She seems to have died without a struggle on the 2nd floor of their home. At 210 pounds weight I find it unlikely that she was drugged/killed, brought up the stairs and then positioned on the cushions afterwards.

well, - I'm not even sure myself how it all works really.. but since also the hospital is involved with the lawsuit, I'm guessing that her own practice doesn't have rooms for surgical procedures? - They must be working with the hospital to carry out their treatments to its fullest. So she would, if we assume I'm on the right track here, have been in contact with nurses and the like up until the time of her death.

If this actually was a premeditated murder, what does this entail?

1. X came prepared to make this look like a suicide. (typed note, plastic bag, possible drugs/medication)
2. X gained access to the house easily. (No indication of a forced entry)
3. X knew when to gain access to the house. (X needed time for this and could not afford to be disturbed)
4. X has adequate information about the comings and goings on in the household.
5. X would want to make sure that Veronica was dead, before leaving. (If the murderer wanted her to know who killed her, because she could see her killer through the clear bag, the murderer couldn't risk just leaving her for dead.) This again is another time factor.
6. X would have had to immobilize Veronica to put the bag over her head without a struggle.
7. X must have had the opportunity to drug her and used such a dose that it worked quickly.
8...

The more I think about it, the more unlikely it becomes, taking our current information into account.

Using the former outlay, how does this fit in with actual suicide then?

1. V has everything she needs at her disposal.
2. V.can gain access to the house any time without using force.
3. V. knows when to gain access to the house as she needs time for this and cannot afford to be disturbed.
4. V has adequate information about the comings and goings on in the household
5. V. would want to make sure that she was dead, if she really contemplated suicide.
6. V would try and ease her suicide with e.g. sleeping pills.
7. V. has ample opportunity to drug herself and use a dose that works quickly
8. V. does act very funny on the evening. She waves goodbye as if husband and daughter are going on a long trip, not a simple girlguide ball.
9. V, lectures Haley on saying goodbye.
10. It is a known fact that those people who do actually kill themselves often do it when one least expects it.
11. If Elizabeths assessment of the relationship between George and Veronica is anything to go by, then it is not that unlikely that she would write/type such a note with no regards to George's feeling whatsoever.
12. It is possible that V was hiding something of which we have yet to learn that was such a strong motive that she chose suicide as a way out...

All in all her death is actually explained best by suicide at the moment. So I am retracting my statement that suicide is totally out of the question. :P

Well, that being said, what about the business of the old mint box which George supposedly found in his closet?

Two options:

A It was planted there.
B. It was dropped unintentionally.

On A
Why would someone plant the box there? To give the impression that someone had been hiding in the closet and had lost the box. Why would the box be of importance? Because it surely will burden someone else. So again we have two options:

1. The murderer planted it
2. Someone else planted it

Why would the murderer go to all the trouble of staging a suicide and then plant a box, which will incriminate someone else? That doesn't make sense. On the other hand someone may be desperate enough to incriminate someone else to gain a result. In this case George, just shortly before realising that his "daughter" is at stake (see interview), uses a mint box perhaps Wallace forgot at one of his visits to give the impression that Wallace had killed his wife. Is it a mere coincidence that George finds the mint box in his closet? Hmmmm

On B

Someone was hiding in the closet and unintentionally dropped the box of mints, which just happen to contain sleeping tablets as well. In this case surely the murderer of Veronica. It is highly unlikely that V. would have dropped them there, unless she was secretly into eating mints and decided to go into the closet one last time for old times sake before exiting this world.
