I agree, this mystery has been immensely intriguing with everyone being so easily implicated. It has been tough case of narrowing down and narrowing down from suspecting everyone at the outset. As far as that SD chip goes, it hasn't turned up in the search. It is possible that there never was a chip. I have to admit I also get the repeated impression that Annette doesn't bring her lovers to her house, and not only that but she doesn't change lovers often. She might flirt a good deal, and use her wiles to connect with men, but going beyond that is something she does with extreme caution. Jeff was the guy she was very serious about but had her fears confirmed very quickly that she was too flawed for such a great guy. Darren was the guy she picked up one night trying to reaffirm her attractiveness as a woman. She needed to feel powerful again, but he was never what she would go for if she was aiming high. Kyle was a relationship where she could escape that Peyton Place drama tension in her life, and was perhaps the most real connection she ever had with anyone since Jeff. She had probably changed and matured a lot and was past the anxiety and mood swings she suffered from when she was younger. As far as Megs fingerprints on the envelope, you could consider that when Annette tried to bribe Meg, she handed her the envelope, then Meg handed it back and Annette put it in her purse. This would be supported by the absence of Meg's fingerprints on any other items in and on the purse itself. I can't imaging why Meg grabbed Annette's keys, but they did turn up in the search at Meg's in the box of photocopies that Annette was running when she was killed. 1. Agreed, it does show that Annette didn't have many guests at her house 2. Very interesting. Jeff might have had a rebound relationship with Tara, but what would have caused Jeff not to marry Tara all those years ago upon learning that she was carrying his child? Women often withhold the naming of the father if the relationship is abusive and she fears the father would be a danger to her child. There may be a few other reasons a woman would do that, but she would have to have gotten pregnant before Jeff married, and few women would lie to protect a marriage that hasn't happened yet. Financial support is a leveraging consideration, and there is usually a reason of safety that the name of the father would be kept secret. Jeff doesn't seem to be the abusive type. 3. Darren's story is ppure bologna, but it is hard to guess what really happened that day, what his motives were. He's just been so deluded for so long. You don't have love relationships with people you only see once or twice a month. It's not like they lived in different states. 4. I think Jeff had feelings of sympathy for Annette. He was able to move on but I think he could see that she wasn't making a lot of progress there. He would have liked to have seen her find love and have a happy life instead of measuring every man up to him. I don't think he knew about her pregnancy scare. She was having an affair with Kyle, and she probably never even told Kyle about the PT. But you're right, it might have been a wake up call, and Annette felt she had to do some moving on and the only way to do that would be to get away from Jeff. But she was going to have her pound of flesh, showing that she hadn't really gotten over being kept back for all those years. She was stealing client information from the other agents when Meg caught her, and trying to stop her, ended up killing her.

Quote: Hmm. That's interesting. Did you look that up about the full moon or was that in something that was given here? . That is something I looked up. I should have realized it sooner since I spent that particular night hunting nebula. New moons are the best time to do that. These investigations seem to run consistent with our real life environment, so I would consider it legitimate that Meg is lying about changing her mind about going to the office to moon bathe instead. There was no moon to "call to her" and she did go to the office. As you pointed out, she spoke of the murder as an accident. Her fingerprints are on the nail gun that she claimed at first, she never touched since it was first purchased years ago. Then her story about that changed, that she may have come into contact with it to put it away. I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest Meg wasn't the only one involved in the accident. Kurt Grubman's fingerprints are also on that nail gun. He also at first insinuated that he never had reason to touch that tool. I think they were monkeying around, maybe one of them was aiming it at Anette to pretend to shoot her and the other tried to take the nail gun away, and the nail gun went off and hit Anette. Now Kurt and Meg are covering it up. The Grubman leaving the street so late at night was Kurt returning to the scene to retrieve something left behind. He had his headlights off so his wife wouldn't notice he left. That's why he didn't turn his headlights on until he reached the end of his street. Kurt or Meg may have grabbed Annette's keys by accident and for some reason wasn't able to return them. OR theory 2: Meg alone shot Anette and confided in Kurt in a late night call, and Kurt went there to help a very panicked Meg. They decided to tell no one. During that time Kurt touched the nail gun but decided to leave it lie instead of trying to dump it somewhere.

Meg claimed to be moon-bathing on September 15th instead of going to the office to work on folders as she originally planned to do. There was no moon on that night, it was New. In her follow up interview she indicates Anette's murder was an accident.

  • Elise Cederlund started a new discussion Annette's Car keys...
I just realized the question hasn't been asked yet. Are Annette's car and house keys accounted for? If not, they should be included items in any search warrants....

Everything you said there, EastTex, is right along the lines of my thinking. Harte's top agent double dipping and possibly crossing over to the competition gives Jeff a motive for murder and no information so far is contradicting that he was the last person to see her alive. The time Jeff was at the Holistic store is approximate, anywhere from 6:30pm to near closing at 7:00pm. He claims to have seen her when he was leaving. The last phone call Annette took was at 7:07pm, an incoming 8 minute call from Darren. An 8 minute long voice message? Possibly if routed to one of those services that lets you review, erase and leave a different message, you can take all day if you want. Darren then tries to call several times through the 9 o'clock hour. Is he creating an alibi? or does he really not know Annette isn't answering because she is by this time dead. How does Jeff kill Annette after 7:09pm and be home a "little before" 7pm as stated by Janet Johnson in Elana's alibi check? Perhaps he left again, to go kill her, and his wife is covering for him by saying he came home at 7 and didn't leave again for the night. Bear in mind that Jeff never remarks that the nail gun is left out. We must conclude the murderer found it or knew where it was. By the body's position, she looks like she was about to use the files, possibly squatting down, and was unaware of any danger.

  • Regarding information from document 'Victim's cell phone GPS location data' Ms Wyatt had made a couple visits to The Village Tailor, also a shoe shop and an antique shop. Can we get information from the tailor what her business was with them? If she was planning to get married it certainly wasn't with Darren. He did say didn't like the thought...

Get this! 'Victim's cell phone GPS location data' Kyle Parker was having an affair with Ashley Fontaine, wife of the murdered Philip Fontaine. Annette Wyatt had been to his house a few times that week. She had also had two visits to the tailor, one was followed by a shoe shop, and an antique shop all in one day. I'm reaching here, but it looks like she was going to a wedding.

Oh they found more money in her desk (Jeff's follow up interview). I'm having a hard time finding all of the files on this one. I can't find the neighbors interview that mentions the white car seen at Wyatt's house. I'd like to re-read that.
