Crime Scene -

Monica Drum's body has been found in her office. Since there appears to be some reddish substance on the desk, along with a hand print, it looks like she was sitting at the desk.

Is there someone at the newspaper who would take Monica's place? It would be interesting to know who it is if that's the case.

By the way, in case you're wondering, I have nothing to do with the writing or brainstorming about this case. I wanted to do what I did when I first found CS, and that is try to solve the case. I enjoyed that so much. So, I'm not been on any discussions with the rest of the staff and I'm just seeing the same news and evidence that each one of you are seeing day by day.

According to Craig again, sounds like Rick Hughes might be the next in line. Also the one who's been having a tumultuous relationship with Drum, and who got into the physical fight with her at the Holiday Open House.

It's possible that Rick Hughes finally got fed up with Monica, lost control and killed her. I think he could have gone to the office that night to try and make amends, but would he take a gun with him?

Whatever Monica said to Rick at the Holiday Open House really ticked him off. He slapped her right there in public. We need more information about Rick. Since he is next in line for the job, plus he's having problems with his relationship with Monica, it really makes him a top suspect, but whoever killed Monica, went there with that in mind, (carrying a gun). He is on my list, though.

I can't wait for more docs. I forgot how hard it is to wait for new information on the case. We should have more tomorrow.

Hmmm. Is Shawn Sharp, the sports editor,telling two different stories, or is Craig Peques secretary, Shannon Peterson lying? Did Rick Hughes slap Monica or not?

I think we need to talk to more people. Of course once a story get's spread around, the truth can be lost.

I've worked enough cases to know that the obvious perpetrator isn't always the guilty party, so we will need a lot more information about Rick and the rest of the staff at the paper.
