According to the incident report
- southeast corner of the room ... single door leading to a single-occupancy unisex restroom.

- northwest corner of the room ... single door leading to a small storage closet

- Entry to the meeting room was via a single door ... southwest corner of the room.

These compass directions are impossible. According to the diagram, the entrance to the room and the closet are diagonal to each other. NW and SW are not diagonal to each other. Can incident reports be amended?

As is we can't assume the locations of any furniture was stated correctly and it is making it difficult to chart the scene.

Also; if the main doors of the building are facing street, and the building is to the north of the street, the closet is actually in the Southeast corner of the room.

Where's north on map? Every proper map has north.

If not indicated, my guess would be that its already positioned so that the top is north and bottom is south.

oh lol, ignore my latest post... :S yeah that is strange..

But am I wrong in thinking that the directions aren't as relevant as the actual existence of the rooms and doors around the crime scene? For now I think it'd be alright to just view the map as it is, without regards to the exact positioning.

Actually, there's only problem with Closet door, in report is "north-west" but it's "north-east". Other compass directions are right. Little mistake :)

I wish I'd stared reading these posts sooner.

I will see about getting this fixed. North should be at the top of the diagram. At least, most of maps or diagrams are that way.
