It was good to see you as well. I believe the book we discussed is called "The Gift of Fear" by Gavin de Becker. It's a really good exploration of stalking. I hope it helps although I hope even more that you don't need to use it. Keep me informed of what happens. I'll keep my fingers crossed and pray that there's nothing to worry about.

Sorry it took a while to respond... things have been crazy around here. How is life in the ivy-covered walls of academia?

Anyway, I'm not sure I can answer your question with any certainty. But, I would think that the chances of you getting caught are pretty slim. You don't meet any of the typical red-flags for an audit, so that would only happen if they picked you from random. One of the ways that they would check things out is that they could look at the money coming in and out of your checking account. They know how much you make from teaching, but if there is a boatload of extra money flowing through your account, then that would be an indicator of something wrong. I'm assuming that your tips aren't enough to be going out and buying a Ferrari or anything so I don't imagine you would attract a whole lot of attention. So I think you're safe.

On another note, Bobby had an appendicitis but is recovering from the surgery nicely.

You know I care about you and wish you the best. Which means that I just have to ask this question... is this relationship really worth it? You guys just seem to fight an awful lot and he's constantly moving out, moving back in, moving out again and it just never seems to end.

It sounds like you're relaxing and enjoying the quiet, so I hope you get some rest. But I really think you should think about the validity of this relationship.
