Murder Suspect on the Run in San Francisco

FBI pursues man sought in Mississippi and two other states

San Francisco
A suspected killer tied to murders in Mississippi and Florida evaded arrest after a dramatic 100 mph car chase through the streets of San Francisco. The chase ended after the suspect crashed through a police barricade and disappeared into Golden Gate Park.

The suspect, Greg Giblini, is wanted for the murder of Valerie Vilson, his girlfriend and William Giblini, his brother. No motive is known for the slayings, however authorities suspect the two victims may have been romantically linked.

Giblini was to give himself up during a "chat" session on the Internet. Chat is a communication protocol that allows persons to communicate by typing. Giblini spent the first twenty minutes of the chat session answering questions. As he prepared to offer himself to authorities, the FBI interceded.

According to investigating officer, Detective T.C. "Trick" Armstrong from Mississippis Yoknapatawpha Law Enforcement Division, "We worked for almost a month to arrange this surrender. I dont know what in the Hell the Feds thought they were doing."

Federal agents located Giblinis presence on the Internet through use of a sophisticated packet-sniffer.

Investigators searched Golden Gate Park, but have no leads on Giblinis present location.
