Hi. I'm a clinical psychologist who's stumbled onto your file on the Net. It sounds to me like this "hate" group is likely to be the culprit of Purity's murder. Some of the things described in the diary are so irrational and evil that it would fit the psychological profile -- they would somehow feel justified "an eye for an eye" type of thinking. I don't know if you've found who threw the rock through Val's window and who were all the people leaving the messages on her answering machine and sending her the hate mail. But it only takes one person who's a little "off" in this group to go the complete distance, you know? Probably none of this is new but thought I'd try to be helpful.

It seems from the messages she was receiving by phone and mail
that it was either her biological parents (religious intona-
tion) or that someone was getting access to her diary, reading
it, knowing about the biological parents' religious fervor
and basing their stalking/harrassment tone on that.

If you leave your computer online with the modem on, there
are ways for people to go through your whole computer system;
files, programs, everything (was not clear if she was doing
this, but it sounds like it).

well i think it was the guy that was obsested with her. don't you think
i mean if he liked her so much and he was a stauker than of course he
would have pictures of her unless she hade another stauker. but in my opion
i don't think she was that popular. well that is my opion.i sure hope you all

(1) the(unedited) sentences were well thought out, using
more complexity than an average diary entry and
(2) the textual edits e.g. capitalization of words or letter,
underlines were premeditated.

I just read Ms. Vilson's diary and it said "and now they beat their daughter for it". Ms. Vilson had also said they were "hate extremists". In refence to the person who said that Purity was a prosititute, what if she was and her parents found out. If her father was to be a Distict Attourney, he couldn't have a prostitute for a daughter. Sounds like murder from her parents. Also, what about the time that passed in Europe when she was missing from her college?

If so, please describe...I would describe his behavoir as intense , but not violent towards her...Are there things left out of her history?There seems to be a good vs. evil drama unfolding on all levels of Valerie's life...

Apparently the killer of Purity is into drama and likes to play things out he sends you guys notes alot so it is as if this sick bastard is boasting yet he didnt want Purity to dye because as you can tell he once and still does have feelings for her. Did you get my last message which said that you guys should check out around the fish hatchery thats where all the evidence was pointing and thats where she was found. The killer wanted you to find Purity I mean for Christs sake he engraved her intails in sandstone on a well traveled path. He or she wrote notes on the sandstone.
surely someone had to see that. Have you guys found the boy the witness describes in the investigation. Have you guys thought that the killer left something there for you find if you did find it that would point directly to the killers house or hangout as sort of a risk I believe the killer gets of on having you guys being so close to catch him I believe he likes the trill of the hunt thats why he stalked Purity for so long and possibly even talked to her face to face a couple of times without her even knowing it was him and thats why he remained in contact with you guys for so long.
This guy obviosly was religious and wanted Purity gone but he didnt want it on his head that he was a murderer so somewhere in his or her sick and twisted mind he got it that if he held her captive and gave you all the clues you guys needed to find her and figured that if she was to die it would be in your hands not in his therefor he in his mind would not be considered a murdurer. OK now on to this do you think the pyramid means something like he is trying to point you in the direction of his or her house or maybe it symbolizes something like where Puritys body was found is one point on a map then it conects to lets say her house,armstrongs house or vals house as the other piont leaving one point still missing and that point might very well be where the killer is. I believe this is all one big game to him and all the stuff he mailed you guys connects to where he is hiding. Like there are three points to a pyramid and there was three torn sections of the map and he left three major pieces of evidence at the seen of the crime whats up with that????? Well I am not the cop here so I dont know everything you guys know but could you please take this note into consideration.

Has anyone looked into the posiblity of the wounds not being of an sexual nature. The stab marks and tearing around what a man might feel is the womb area... If I recall right she was found not to be pregnant. Could she have told him she was?....The stabs in that area might have been an atempt to destroy something that someone thought was there.
