I think that you should investigate more on the cat and boyfriend.
That message on the answering machine gave out a clue too. Maybe Joey had something to do with it. He sounded pretty nervice on the answering machine.
The one condom package was found open. right??? well maybe he raped her or they made out before she died. There is one way to answer that question is there not?? Did Valerie have any scars on her or skin in her nails??If she did that means she could have been struggling from a person, perhaps a male!!

Where was the victim when she was shot? If she was in bed, the angle of the shot would be diagonal instead of from the back, would it not?
I was wondering if you could tell me if you ever recieved any information on Valarie's reputation, and if so, what did people say that she was like. The matches found in her purse are bothering me. I might be wrong, hopefully you'll be able to tell me.
I still have questions regarding the recovery of
information from Valerie's computer. Her diary was
recovered from computer by Umiss computer students.
But what information did Northern Data Recovery
retrieve? The President of this company, Robert K.
Gordon, noted in 0895 that his company "will recover
significant amounts of data." What did he recover?
Where is this information? I believe that if computer
students at U of Miss were able to uncover evidence
from the files, certainly, Mr. Gordon's company
uncovered additional evidence.

You stated that the person was killed in the
bedroom then taken to the tub and bathed then taken to the
kitchen, and ripped to pieces.1) the window was broken: was
the glass broken in or out; was it cleaned up? 2) the person
was killed in the bedroom; I don't think so, where is the
blood in the bedroom other then the pillow, there has to be
more blood. 3) you stated the body was bathed, then why did
she have her clothes on, or was the clothes wet, you never
stated. 4) why would the murderer want to risk
getting caught and bring the body in the kitchen where he/she
would have to walk by windows?5) was there missing money?
bank cards, check books, credit cards. 6) was there any
bruising that happen prior to death? 7) was the purse found
open or closed? 8)was there any blood skid marks/blood drag
marks leading from one room to another? 9) did the police
dept use the die that when you use a black light that the
iron in the blood shows up. It never washes away. 10) I
recall a play that resembles it case. could the made the
call on the answer machine to cover his tracks? Please
get back to me, I have a lot more ideas on this cases.

Okay, before I get real in-depth here, let me just see if I've got all this straight.
Valerie Vilson leaves the bar with someone (NOT Greg Giblini, possibly Will Giblini) and is later found dead. Greg Giblini flees (also, his blood was found on the cat). William Giblini turns up dead. Then, GREG Giblini turns up dead.
Now we find that Valerie Vilson had a biological sister, Purity (aka Ariadne) Knight, who was a big part of her life for awhile. The Knight family is not under suspicion at this time (at least I can't see that they would be, as ballistics tests seem to show that no involved gun was theirs). Purity/Ariadne is now missing following a stalking incident and no one knows where she is.
So, am I missing anything? Are any of those statements wrong?

1-do you know the business will had in miami or purpose of visit?
2-where is all of this mob/greg was a fed "specualtion??" coming from, is there more than
the rumors of net bookmaking to the mob thing. is the fed stuff pure speculation?
3.have you put the whole "puzzle" together, or is it just the val part?
4.I suppose revealing whether there is more than one killer before 4/1 would give too much away?

possible scenario?: Valerie is seeing both Will and Greg. Will has had enough. He kills Val. Greg kills Will. Pherhaps Greg's death is a concidence. Purity???? Maybe she disappeared on her own.

Has anyone from your department taken the time out to study the play Marat Sade? The fact that
the victim was washed and mutilated
after death reminds me of the play-which has to do with death,murder &insanity.If I am correct there is a crucial scene in Marat Sade that evolves around a tub? Could the killer be giving us a clue through this play?
Detective did the victom ever report any problems with the boyfriend in the past to the yoknapatawpha County Police department?
You probably realize this, but NO-One with a computer and that much equipment would have a blank hard drive. Have you looked into reconstructing the hard drive and recovering that information? It can be done by a computer specialist.
Alibi for Purity's ex-boyfriend the rapist? Seems she suspected who the stalker was (hunch) and old boyfriend is first place to check and most likely suspect. Thomas Armstrong (nice last name eh?)
Are we going to learn any more about Tom Giblini? He seems to be the one person who profited from Val, Will, and Greg's murders, he owns Rosebud free and clear. Also, will you agree with the supposition that the murderer and the mutilator are two different persons?
Have you checked out Purity's parents alibis?
Was Brianna ever questioned? Maybe she was jealous of Valerie.
Did you ever consider the man who raped Purity may have done this, and Will may have been at the wrong place at the wrong time?
Who's DNA does the blood on the cat match?
Response: It's almost a perfect match to William Giblini.
Does the blood in the kichen match the blood in the bedroom?
Response: Yes.
Is the mysterious third person a male or female?
Response: The blood from the third person is like William Giblini's.
Were there any marks on the body?
Response: None other than the bullet wound and punctures.
Were there any finger prints on the body?
Response: No.
Who did she beat to get those parts in the plays?
Response: Good question. No one has asked before. We don't know. Probably several dozen during her three years at school.
What was her job?
Response: Student.
I am bothered re: the sequence of the attacks. Specifically, the splatter blood on the frig. If she was already dead and washed and brought into the kitchen, her blood would no longer splatter, right? whose blood on the pillow? Was a third person taken from the scene? Why the hostility of the Knights. I still don't understand the realtionship of Purity and Valarie.
Response: The victim's bloood was intentionally spattered.
The Police report a typo.
In the 12 pictures taken on the Olympus 0m2, there is a closeup shot of Purity (presumed)where she is holding a black object in her left hand. Has the object been identified? Is it a hand held tape recorder? Was it recovered from the apartment?
Response: Thanks for setting us straight on the error. Another look at the police report will show we've fixed it. An alias was inadvertantly revealed.
As for the item in Purity's hand. We'll check into that. Excellent tip. Thats what this comment area is for.
I think Johnny McPhail needs to be investigated further.
Response: True. We are checking his background. He is very cooperative.

Response: 1-No violence.
2-Yes, with frequency.
3-No indication. Likely.
Please share what was unusual about Valerie's face. Also, please share any other information such as who bought the plane ticket and how that info fits into scheme of things. We get the feeling you've intentionally kept a few vital clues to yourself.
Response: We withheld the information regarding Vilson's face in order to positively identify the killer. Only he would know this. On April 1st that information will be available.
As for withholding vital clues...it's all there. Try the file list for items you missed.
Was Valerie's face mutilated with the knife?
Were her eyes-open or closed?
Response: No facial mutilation. Her eyes were closed.
Has William Giblini's estranged wife been interviewed? If yes, where are the transcripts?
Response: She was interviewed, but requested privacy.
In the biography of Judith Veeder Knight, it is stated that she gave birth to the couple's only child, Purity Marie, in September of 1996. Why was there no mention of the birth of Valerie, if she was indeed, the first biological child? I realize that she was adopted, however, shouldn't there be some record of her birth?
Response: That biography was written by Judith Knight. She, seemingly, doesn't acknowledge Valerie Vilson's birth.
Sounds like the peeper could have been a tabloid photographer. With low light film not exposed very well, probably not a good one :) Is it possible that PK just out of fear (other things may happen) that she bolted and is waiting till Val's killer is announced?? Hopefully by then she'll show up again.

Response: She was gone the next day. No contact with family or friends. She may be hiding and might return after April 1st.

Just like Val Vilson's case...bizzaarre! I have a hunch Purity knows all too well who it may have been or who was behind it. She may well be hiding out until the release of Val's killers identity on April 1st. Until then, you only have the camera and film to go by. The camera has serial #, of which can be traced to a point. If bought from private party, no luck. And the film is Kodak Ektar I believe. You may want to see how much was bought at the store you mentioned, because not too many people buy 1000 ASA film. Maybe for projects in class, but that is even discouraged if anyone knows photography...Ektar is too grainy. It is an old film technology. It's already obsolete. So maybe seeing how much was bought in area, and maybe then narrow down by check and credit card purchases. Same thing with the camera. An Olympus om10 is an old camera. Something again a student may have bought...possibly at a pawn shop. You may want to check the serial # with them as well.
I hope you guys find Puirty OK, and maybe this yahoo in the trees. From the one picture, it looks as if the cat is staring right at him. Too bad cats can't talk or you can't see reflection in his eyes.

Response: The serial number is traceable. Low light film is fairly common now. The Walmart sells several rolls a day. We aren't too hopeful there.

Did Lee know Valarie? Did she ever attend classes
with Valarie or acted in any production with her?
One of the photographs recovered from the stalker
shows Purity sitting, leaning forward with something
in her hand. What is in her hand?
Have you contacted Purity's parents regarding her
whereabouts? Does Lee know any of Purity's college
friends? Do you? Have they been interviewed or any
of the people at the animal clinic?
Response: 1-Yes, Lee and Valerie knew each other. There may be a photo of them together. Lee is looking for it.
2-We are checking into the identity of whatever Purity held in her hands while being photographed.
3-Family Co-workers, and friends have been contacted. No one has heard from her.
If valerie bled internally from the gun shot then why then was there blood on the pillow?
Response: Not much blood for a head wound. Mostly she bleed internally. The small caliber bullet went in, leaving a tiny entry.
If valerie was found at 6am then wouldn't the cat have little or no blood on it because cats continually clean themselves, considering valerie was found four hours later, even though in one repeort it said that the time of death was four am.

Response: The cat's name was Pig, named for its failure to clean itself. Seriously, the blood was dried and not plentiful.
1st What were the actual circumstances of the disappearance of Purity? Did she just not come home one night or what?
2nd Are there any other suspects that have surfaced after interviewing Purity's classmates and friends? Maybe a check with some of the tabloids to see if they had a stringer following her might help. (She did appear in People and one of the tabloids might be looking to sell some papers.)

Response: 1-She left early the next morning for classes and hasn't been seen since. No sightings of her by anyone.
2-A media person following her would have been noticeable in Oxford. We are, however, checking to see if any were in the area. Thanks for the tip.
It was said earlier that you interviewed joel shenton twice, but no where does anything prove that, why?
Response: Only one in depth interview was conducted. We have had several conversations with Shenton.
why did you say earlier that lisa wood was an "evolving" witness but then you said she has no motive or desire to commit the crimes? why did you suspect that and then do nothing about it?
Response: Initially, she seemed to be holding back. Her answers were evasive. Moreover, her iron-clad alibi during the Vilson killing took her out of the picture.
Why are you wating until April 1 to give the answer--some kind of April Fool's joke?
Response: Several reasons:
1-To allow the web viewer an opportunity to solve the crime.
2-The victim was found dead on April 2. We wanted to offer the solution on April 2nd--but found April 1st a more memorable date.
Her bio says Purity attended Reed College on Portland,OR.But her I.D. is from Ole Miss. What's the deal???
Response: Ms Knight attended Reed her freshman year. She went to a Kibbutz over the summer and attended University of Mississippi during the Spring semester
Was there something unusual about Valerie's face at the time the body was found? Clown or stage makeup perhaps? If so, what do you think of this. Do you see a link between the bathing of her body and the fact that W.G.'s body was found in the tub?

What's the possibility that her murderer could have been a email pal she met on the internet, say like in a chat room?

I know this sounds far fetched, but is it possible that Valerie had a relationship with William Giblini and Greg found out (possibly from Purity)? Val thought she was pregnant- by Will- and she told him the night she was murdered, after the two of them returned from Proud Larry's. Worried his wife would find out, Will shot her- after they had sex. Greg found out that she thought she was pregnant so he went to her apartment to confront her, only to find her dead. Upset about finding her dead and the affair, Greg bathed her ( I have no idea why) and drug her into the kitchen where he mutilated her. If he believed she could have been pregnant, that would explain the placement of the mutilation (womb area). He then splattered her blood on the refrigerator as a form of protest. Greg also suspected Will of shooting Val, so he followed Will to Florida, where he killed him. I know it's farfetched and full of holes, but is there any possibility?
