[Crime Scene] Where did the boy really get that skull?

This email contains graphics, so if you don't see them, view it in your browser.

DEAR Visitor,

Last week, a middle school teacher noticed a crowd of students on the playground looking at something. The object of their interest turned out to be a skull that looked to be human.

We talked to RJ Brandt, the student who brought the skull to school, and we also had a conversation with his mother, Heather. Neither of them found the situation particularly upsetting.

In this update, we talk to RJ's father, Ronny Brandt.

Case updates three times a week

This case will be updated three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Look for these email newsletters each Monday to catch up on what's happened in the last week and get a preview of what's coming up.

Coming up next, we'll be hearing from teachers and students who know RJ Brandt and who may have seen him with the skull or talked to him about it.

And don't tell anyone I told you, but Ask the Detective will be opening soon, so start thinking about your questions.

Do you think the skull RJ brought to school is real? Was this a prank or evidence of something else? Review the case documents and let us know what you think.

All the best,

Det. Murphy
