[Crime Scene] What do the victim's wife and son know?

This email contains graphics, so if you don't see them, view it in your browser.

DEAR Visitor,

Before we left the crime scene the other night, Armstrong and I had preliminary conversations with Philip Fontaine's wife and son. It was the middle of the night, but we still got some interesting leads to look into.

Ashley and Grant Fontaine both said they got home at the same time from separate evenings out and found the body shortly after that. Both told us where they'd been earlier that evening. Sort of. But there's more for us to find out there.

Since then, one of the things we've been doing is gathering more information about the two of them and their backgrounds. It seems the Fontaine household wasn't all sunshine and roses, no matter what image they tried to project to the public.

You can see for yourself because this update includes interviews with and biographies of the victim's wife, Ashley Fontaine, and his son, Grant Fontaine.

Visit the Crime Scene Forums and the Crime Scene Community to share your thoughts about the case.

Coming up on Monday, we'll talk to the Fontaines' household employees and see what we can learn about them and from them. The inventory of evidence CSU collected from the crime scene should be ready by then too.

Have you started to form an opinion yet? Was Philip Fontaine killed when he interrupted a burglary or is something else going on?  We'd appreciate any assistance you can give us, so please stop by the site and tell us what you think, Visitor.

All the best,

Det. Murphy
