The Tourist Murder Contest
Yesterday, a groundskeeper at William Faulkner's historic home Rowan Oak found the body of an adult male leaning against a tree between the house and the pasture. The victim had an obvious penetrating wound on his head and a pickaxe was found nearby.
We'll have two more updates of case documents from this investigation for you, including a biography of the victim, additional witness interviews, and more.
We need you to tell us what happened. Who was the killer? What was the motive? What evidence supports your theory?
There is no "correct" answer. Just submit your short (and humorous?) caption for the crime scene photo using no more than 25 words or submit your theory of what happened and why in no more than 500 words by Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. PST.
Visit the Tourist Murder Whodunit Contest page to see the complete contest rules and to submit your entry.
