Greetings ,

View the Final Evidence

On Friday, we got the preliminary forensic analysis findings on the evidence from the searches. On Saturday, based on those forensics and other evidence, Detective Armstrong and I went to arrest the person we believe killed Kimberly Pace.

When we arrived at the suspect's residence, we got a surprise and things didn't turn out at all like we'd anticipated.

This update includes that preliminary forensics report on the evidence from the searches, plus an incident report about what happened when we tried to make the arrest, some evidence we found at the scene, and press coverage of the events.

The Whodunit Contest winners

Case Solved

We had lots of great entries in the Whodunit Contest this time. Thank you to all who participated.

The winner of the Sherlock Holmes Award for correctly naming the killer and describing the events the night of the murder is kdcypress, who wins a $75 gift certificate for our online store

But kdcypress is not the only winner. Check out the Whodunit Contest Winners page to find out if your entry won a prize and to read the winning theories.

What's next?

This Thursday is the Thanksgiving holiday in the US, so we won't have an update that day.

Starting Monday, November 28, 2011, we'll be doing fun, short mysteries throughout the holiday season, and the next full case will start after Christmas.

We hope you'll join us because we're going to be giving away some great prize packages every week between now and the end of the year. Come back on Monday for the details.
