Greetings ,

Alibi Chart

It took a little doing, but Detective Armstrong and I managed to convince a judge to sign three search warrants for us on a Sunday afternoon. Ole Miss Thanksgiving break is almost upon so, so we have to act quickly so we can execute the search warrants before the students all head out for the holiday.

We have two case documents in this update that are available only to paid Crime Scene members – an Alibi Chart and a Murder Timeline – which summarize what we've been told and what we've been able to verify so far about the witnesses'/suspects' alibis and what happened on the night of the murder.

If you're not a Crime Scene member yet but you want to see these documents, just join Crime Scene and you'll get immediate access to them. And if you join between now and 11:59 PM Pacific Time on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, you can take 50% off any Crime Scene membership. Just enter the code 3344 at checkout to claim your discount.

This update also includes a second interview with Laurence Bricker, along with the previously mentioned documents.

On Thursday, we should have preliminary inventories from the searches we plan to conduct between now and then.

Do You Know Whodunit?

Whodunit Contest

The Whodunit Contest is open and waiting for you to share your theory about what happened to Kimberly Pace. You could win a prize, like a Crime Scene forensic t-shirt or another item from our online store.

You can enter any time between now and 11:59 PM Pacific Time on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Winners will be announced on Monday, November 21, 2011.

Rather not write a theory?

You can still participate in the Whodunit Contest by voting in our polls. Tell us who the killer is, what the murder weapon was, and more by casting your vote. If you get all of the poll answers correct, you could win a Crime Scene coffee mug. See the Whodunit Contest page for details.

Discuss the investigation

Are you still working through the finer points of your theory and could use some input? Or have you already finalized your theory and are willing to help your fellow web sleuths with theirs? The Crime Scene Community is a great place to collaborate, debate or ruminate on various ideas about the investigation. Just post in the comments on the individual case documents or stop by the Crime Scene Forum to share your insights, Visitor.

Yours,

Det. Murphy

New to Crime Scene?

There are several ways you can take part.

Anonymous Tipsters are always welcome at Crime Scene, and you don't need to pay anything or even sign up to enjoy a case.

Officers can use their registered Crime Scene IDs to post comments on case documents, see the questions the detectives are answering, and participate in the Crime Scene Community.

Detectives can use their paid Crime Scene IDs to do everything the Officers can, plus they can ask the detectives questions about the investigation and get answers. They also get to see interview videos without ads and can review solutions of solved cases.

Detectives also get access to exclusive case documents and, coming soon, even more premium features.
