Paul Evans interview with video
Paul Evans,
victim's boyfriend

We caught up with Paul Evans again recently to follow up on the pregnancy questions and several other issues. We asked him if Kimberly would have told him if she suspected she was pregnant.

Paul Evans: I'm absolutely sure that if she thought she was pregnant, she would have told me. She was a good girl. She didn't lie or sneak around. You guys can say what you want about me, but I will not let you sit here and badmouth her!

We also got together with Arthur Beck again, and things got a little heated between him and Det. Armstrong a few times, like when Beck claimed he didn't recall whether he heard Kimberly's dog barking the night she was killed.

Detective Armstrong: You don't even want to take a moment to think about it?

Arthur Beck: Listen, don't bully me, fella! I told you I don't remember and that's the end of it!

Today's update also includes criminal history checks for two more people of interest to the investigation, as well as the results of our attempts to verify Carter Nichols' alibi.

On Thursday, we'll have another interview with Carter Nichols and the transcript of my informal conversation with Arthur Beck over the weekend, plus the results of an alibi check for another person of interest, and more.

The Whodunit Contest starts on Thursday

The Whodunit Contest will open later this week, so I hope you've identified your prime suspect(s) and figured out your theory of the crime.

Discuss the investigation

You don't have to identify the important information in the case documents all by yourself, Visitor. Your fellow Detectives and Officers in the Crime Scene Community can help you sort through everything to figure out what's important and discard what isn't. Just post in the comments on the individual case documents or stop by the Crime Scene Forum to join in the conversation.

Yours,

Det. Murphy
