Greetings ,

Detectives Murphy and Armstrong

Armstrong and I have had
just about enough
of Carter Nichols' nonsense.

On Friday, Detective Armstrong and I had another conversation with Carter Nichols. We asked him why he hadn't told us when we first talked to him that he and Kimberly Pace argued the day before her death. Once he finally admitted the argument had happened, he told us some more about it.

Carter Nichols: What right did she have to try to embarrass me in front of my friends? Who the hell is she anyway? A stupid English teacher. My BMW cost more than her salary. She's nothing.

Recently, we've also talked to some of the people associated with the gallery opening Paul Evans had the night Kimberly Pace was killed. Transcripts of those interviews along with some photos of samples of Evans' work are also available now.

This update also has Kimberly Pace's last checking account statement and some excerpts from her journal.

On Thursday, we'll have follow-up interviews with Cody Matthews and Jeremy Gladwell, plus a look at some of Kimberly's email and more.

Do you want clarification about some of the evidence, like the person who asked,

Photos of victim's house

Who took the photos of the victim’s home? What day and time was the photo taken?

Or another person who wanted to know,

What causes such a wound?

Is it possible that a garden tool such as a shovel or spade can cause the such a wound or are we looking for something more like a sledge hammer?

The answers to those questions and more can be yours with just a few clicks and a few dollars. A mere $7 will get you a 6-month, non-renewing Crime Scene membership, which gives you full access to Ask the Detective and other premium member features.

Have you narrowed down the top suspects yet?

Tell us who you've ruled in or out and why by posting your comments on the individual case documents, or dropping by the Crime Scene Community. We want to hear what you think, Visitor.

Yours,

Det. Murphy
