Detective Armstrong:
Thank you for agreeing to tell us what you saw, Miss Mason. Would you
please state your name and address for the record?
Debbie Mason: My name
is Debbie Mason and I live at 942 Bramlett Boulevard here in Oxford.
Detective Armstrong:
Thank you. Describe in your own words what you saw.
Debbie Mason: You mean
from the accident?
Detective Armstrong:
Yes.
Debbie Mason: Well, I
was walking my puppy, Frisky, when I saw this red car come flying
down the road and it just hit this other car. They both sat there for
a second or two and then the red car backed up and drove away. I
looked at the license plate and tried to remember all of it, but I
could only remember a couple of the numbers.
Detective Murphy: Did
you get a look at the driver of the red car?
Debbie Mason: I'm sorry,
no I didn't. It was such a horrific crash, and so loud. Frisky was
very frightened and I was trying to calm him down. Then the car left.
Detective Murphy: Did
you see how many people were in the red car?
Debbie Mason: No, I'm
sorry. I just noticed it was driving really fast. Now that I think
about it, the car seemed to be swerving some as it came up the
street.
Detective Murphy: Is
there anything else you can think of about the accident?
Debbie Mason: I'm
afraid not. I guess I'm not much help am I?
Detective Armstrong: You
have been very helpful. Thank you for your time, and if you think of
anything else please call us.
Debbie Mason: Oh, I
will.
