Detective Samantha Murphy
Detective Ted Armstrong
Chandler Coleman
Detective Murphy: For the record please state your name and
address.
Chandler Coleman: My name is Chandler Coleman and I
live
at 222
Country Club Road. How can I help you two today?
Detective Armstrong: You can tell us if Alex asked for
you advice
lately.
Chandler Coleman: No. Why do you ask?
Detective Armstrong:Several reasons, actually.
There's the recent
hit-and-run that left a man dead. There are the items we found in
Alex's
trunk, and the blood we found in your basement. There's the
matter of a
dead girl named Taylor Duncan.
Detective Murphy: We have quite a few questions we'd
like to ask your
son.
Chandler Coleman: Do you really believe he might be
involved in any of
that?
Detective Armstrong:Yes.
Chandler Coleman: I heard about a body being found out
by the lake.
Detective Murphy:; That was Taylor Duncan.
Chandler Coleman:You can't seriously think that my son
....
Detective Armstrong: Do you know where he is?
Chandler Coleman: The last I heard, you had him.
Detective Armstrong: Who told you that?
Chandler Coleman:His cousin Lacy called me.
Detective Murphy: Did you tell your wife this?
Chandler Coleman: Look, I'm trying to keep rumors from
growing out of
control.
Detective Murphy: What are rumors are those?
Chandler Coleman: You're the people spreading them,
insinuating that
Alex is involved with any of this nastiness.
Detective Armstrong: We're investigating two homicides.
Chandler Coleman: Alex had nothing to do with
them. Alex ...
Alex might not make the best decisions when it comes to picking his
friends,
but I wasn't always there for him. I admit that. I thought
the most
important thing was to provide for my family first, and maybe I was
wrong. I don't want you railroading my boy.
Detective Murphy: We're not trying to railroad Alex,
Mr.
Coleman. We're simply trying to get to the bottom of this.
To get
at the truth. Asking someone to live a lie isn't doing them any
favor.
Chandler Coleman: I just want you to leave my son out of
this.
Detective Murphy:I'm afraid we can't do that, Mr.
Coleman. The
evidence implicates your son as being involved.
Chandler Coleman: Fine. That weekend the girl
disappeared.
When I said I was out of town? I wasn't. That's all I'm
going to
say. I want to speak to an attorney.
